The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES ACT) includes funds to assist postsecondary institutions in responding to COVID-19, including the ability to provide emergency financial aid grants to students. This page will be used to report information and updates to our community.
Hernando County Schools has received the funds for Student Aid. These funds are currently being processed for distribution to qualifying students. Students will receive an email from the Financial Aid Office with information about dates/times to pick up their funds.
The Institutional Portion of funds will be used for personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies including equipment and consumables.
Rapid Credentialing funds will be used to expand several programs to meet the demands of our local workforce. Certified Nursing Assistant, CompTIA Cloud Essentials and Forklift Operator are programs can be completed in 18 weeks.
